Is 4 Hours Really Enough Time for a Bridal or Baby Shower?

Is 4 Hours Really Enough Time for a Bridal or Baby Shower? *This is the #1 question we get asked *
✨And the answer is….. ABSOLUTELY— and here's why!✨

Blushstone Events has been open for 4 years and has hosted over 600 events — the majority of them being showers. We’ve tested several different time blocks, and for the past 3 years, we’ve stuck with the 4-hour rental because it works.

The reality is: guests tend to arrive on time (or early!) and often leave shortly after gifts are opened. Most people expect to stay for about 1 to 2 hours.

Here’s how we recommend using your time:
🕐 1 hour for set-up
🎉 2 to 2.5 hours for the actual shower
🧹 30 minutes for clean-up

It’s the perfect amount of time to celebrate without feeling rushed!

✨ Tips to Help Your Shower Run Smoothly (and Not Feel Rushed!) ✨

1. Be Organized + Have a Plan
The more prep you do ahead of time, the more relaxed the day will feel!

  • If friends or family are helping with setup, give each person a specific job so everyone knows what to do

  • Have decor prepped and ready to go — think: favors assembled, baby blocks built, centerpieces arranged

  • Make a quick timeline for the event (ex, when to eat, play games, open gifts) to keep things on track without feeling too structured.

2. Have a Simple Shower Schedule
Having a loose timeline to make the event run smoothly and not feel rushed!

  • Guest Arrival – What time will guests start arriving? (Tip: they’ll usually come right on time!)

  • Food + Games – When will you serve food and start any planned activities or games?

  • Photos + Mingling – Build in time for guests to chat, take pictures, and enjoy the space.

  • Gifts – When will the guest of honor open gifts? (This usually happens after food + games, once everyone has settled in.)
